WhatsApp is rolling out some new updates this summer. After months of testing various features, we finally selected three major updates to bring to our messaging app.

According to The Sun, WhatsApp will offer three different updates, including options for Android users to react to emoji, larger groups, and the ability to keep users silent.

Android emoji reaction function

This publication shows that messaging apps are releasing new features that are useful to users. One of these features is the ability for iOS users to hold text and respond to messages by selecting emojis to respond to.

This feature was widely available to iOS users, but excluded large groups. The emoji reaction feature will also be introduced on Android, allowing WhatsApp users on other devices to react to messages using emoji.

Larger group for businesses and individuals

Most recently, WhatsApp announced features that can be very helpful when trying to coordinate big events and discussions. He pointed out that the platform is “slowly deploying” features that allow users to create larger groups.

Basically, users can add more people to the WhatsApp group compared to the previous minimum number of users in a particular group. WhatsApp has released a blog post on new features detailing the new limits.

According to a WhatsApp blog post, the company has received a request to change the limit on the number of people that can be added to a group. Due to the high number of requests, we decided to increase the group limit to 512 people.

The company explained in detail that building a private and secure community requires a lot of work. They also added that new improvements may help “people and groups stay close to each other.”

Leave silence function

WhatsApp also has another group feature that we are currently working on to allow users to quietly and slowly exit groups. This means that when someone leaves the group, members of the group can do so without being notified that they have left.

As detailed in the WABetaInfo article, this feature has been tested and the only users in the group to be notified when a user leaves are users and administrators. However, the publication states that it is still under development in WhatsApp beta and it is unclear when this feature will be released to the public.

This new feature may help protect users from unnecessary protection if they choose to leave a particular group. WhatsApp Brought to Twitter to announce new features that may be useful to businesses on the platform.
